Castlemanís disease is a rare proliferative disorder of benign nature characterized by hyperplasia of the lymphoid follicles. The abdomen is rarely affected by this pathology. The difficult preoperative diagnosis has recently led laparoscopic surgery to become an option for diagnosis and treatment of the unicentric form of the disease. Herein we present a literature review reporting our experience representing, according to our knowledge, one of the first cases of totally laparoscopic resection of single abdominal localization of Castelmanís disease.
