Re-operations in Bariatric Surgery

The rise of obesity operations also brought about the numerious reoperations of unsuccesful bariatric procedures. The reasons and the types of these operations are various and require identification. The complications of morbid obesity operations can be investigated as early period or late period and major/minor complications. Reoperative surgery is a complicated yet fastyl booming field in obesity surgery. The reasons for reoperation are various, depending on the first obesity operation. In addition to this, each reoperation can present and classify its results as the “success” or the “complication” of the primary operation. In this study, post-bariatric surgery complications, indications of reoperation, technical approaches and the selection of patients are investigated.

Bariatrik Cerrahide Reoperasyon

Obezite cerrahisinin yükselişi başarısız bariatrik prosedürlerin giderek artan sayıda reoperasyonlarını da beraberinde getirdi. Bu operasyonların nedenleri ve tipleri farklıdır ve tanımlanması gerekir. Morbid obezite ameliyatlarının komplikasyonları erken ve geç dönem
veya majör ve minör komplikasyonlar olarak irdelenebilir. Reoperatif cerrahi, obezite cerrahisinde, karmaşık ve büyüyen bir alandır. Cerrahi müdahalelerin nedenleri çok çeşitlidir ve ilk obezite ameliyatına göre değişir. Buna ek olarak, her biri kendi sonuçlarını
primer operasyonun “başarasızlığı” veya “komplikasyonu” olarak sınıflandırıp sunabilir. Bu çalışmada bariatrik cerrahi sonrası gelişen komplikasyonlar, reoperasyon endikasyonları, teknik yaklaşımlar ve hasta seçimi konuları irdelenmiştir.
